Speak-a-thon #1, 2008

On Sunday 20th January, a Speak-A-Thon was held at Wallsend, for Eastern Division clubs. This gave the opportunity for speakers to present speeches outside the normal club setting and to be evaluated by new faces.

The second half of the event was a workshop given by Eastern Division Governor Tom Wilde, ably assisted by Area 23 Governor Ann Clark, on how contestants in an Evaluation contest can improve their skills.

The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyable, with the attendees providing and evaluating many excellent speeches, and taking away many great ideas from the workshop.
