Southern Division
Governor 2010-2011

Welcome to the District 70 Toastmasters, Southern Division website.
Southern
Division encompasses the St. George district, the Sutherland Shire and
Wollongong south to Nowra.
There are 6 areas in the division, which together contain 30 clubs, and
the total membership of the 30 clubs is just over 560 members.
Southern
Division is my home division and I am very proud to serve the clubs of
Southern Division as their Division Governor. The division has a great
team of Area Governors and I look forward to working with them during
the next twelve months. To meet the team click here.
The
District 70 Governor for 2010-2011 is Philip Bendiech DTM, and Philip’s
theme for the year is
‘a challenge to achieve’
Congratulations to Rick Haynes ACG, Southern Division Governor for
2009-2010. Southern Division finished the year as President’s
Distinguished Division. This is a wonderful achievement. Rick and his
team Area Governors worked well together throughout the year to secure
this achievement.
My
Goals for this year is to visit as many clubs as possible so please feel
free to invite me along to one of your meetings, to be available to
members and to promote growth and membership within Southern Division as
a valuable resource for people wanting to develop Communication and
Leadership skills.
I look
forward to further successes from Southern Division this year, and I
hope to see you at the two Southern Division Contests. In the meantime,
please motivate your fellow club members to continue to achieve their
communication and leadership goals and together we can ensure that
Southern Division remains a supportive, active and motivated division!
