General

• The Vision of Toastmasters and the Mission statements of Toastmasters International, the District and the Club.

• Club Constitution and Standard Club Bylaws

• The Club Quality Audit Form. This document is  based on the Moments of Truth module. Area Club Executive Committees should use this to assess how many Service Standards a Club is meeting. Experience has shown that a Club's membership size roughly equates to the number of these standards being consistently met.

• Details of The Distinguished Club Program and the 10 Club goals in the program.

• Clubs are encouraged to have both a Post Office box and a permanent club email address. See Guidelines for a Club email address.

• Club Progress Report form for use by Clubs reporting to Area Council meetings. A Word version is also available as an RTF file for those wanting to enter data into the form. (Right click link and select Save As)

• Club voting delegates (President or Vice-President Education) who cannot attend a District Conference, can use this Proxy Form to enable another Club member to carry their vote at a District Council meeting.

• Guidelines for offering Toastmasters membership to participants in Speechcraft courses

• Protocol guidelines in relation to Head Tables at Toastmasters functions.

Educational

• The District 70 Guide to Meeting Assignments. This was originally published in 1982 and has been in widespread use since. The Guide has been revised but the original size and format have been retained.

• Parramatta Toastmasters Club has also developed an internet friendly Online Guide to Meeting Assignments, expanding on the District 70 Guide.

• Reference material on the Toastmasters Education system

  • The Success/Communication and Success/Leadership Program A CD containing an equivalent program to the TI Parliamentary Procedure module but based on Renton’s Guide for Meetings is available from District 70 Supplies.

  • The High Performance Leadership Program

• It is still possible to register old Style Competent Leader awards up to 30 June 2008. The form required can be downloaded here.

• Ideas for Theme Meetings. Ideas for the conduct of 21 special types of theme meetings developed in a workshop held during the 2001 Pres/VPE Seminar.

• Feedback from Secretaries, Treasurers and Sergeants at Arms on their duties. Information compiled at special Leadership Day on 21 September, 2003.

Marketing and Public Relations

• How to hold a Demonstration Meeting in order to boost membership.

• How to run a successful Demonstration Meeting.

• Support that is available for low membership Clubs

  • Clubs with 12 or less members can have up to two club coaches appointed. It is their role to help the Club become distinguished and the appointment usually lasts a District year. However, this can be extended into a second year if necessary. Contact the Lt. Governor Marketing for details.

  • The Lt. Governor Marketing  should be contacted to offer advice or even visit a Club to see where help could be forthcoming. Area and Division Governors are also available in similar capacities.

  • District will provide some ‘Welcome to Toastmaster’s’ Kits or brochures for distribution to visitors on request. District can also supply flyers or such like if a Club is planning something such as a letterbox drop or provide financial assistance for worthwhile membership building schemes that involve an effort on the part of a Club. Contact the Lt. Governor Marketing for these.
