What's New on the Website

	The following is a monthly summary of major changes and additions made to this Toastmasters District 70 website that are still current. Some pages, such as the Find a Club tables, What's On and the Speechcraft pages, are updated frequently and thus are not logged here. Gary Wilson DTM PID -

	March 2010 SOS Issue 8 posted on District Performance Page with associated SNAP reports showing District 70 performance for the 2009/2010 Toastmasters year. A new user-friendly Supplies online order form introduced into the Supplies page for all types of purchases (in association with a new Supplies price list containing many price reductions). February 2010 The February issue of District 70 E-News has been published. December 2009 The December issue of District 70 the District 70 Newsletter has been published. November 2009 Results from the Semi-Annual District Conference posted together with a link to photos from the Conference. Hall of Fame Tables updated for Contest winners and other awards. September 2009 The Public Relations Section of the website has been revised and launched in a new style with expanded content. A revised District Supplies price list has been published with many changes. See the Supplies page. June 2009 The Directory database for 2009/2010 been placed on the site. This means that the Area Governor/Division Staff Officer and the District Staff Officer search pages now give information regarding 2009/2010 officers. The Find a Club searches will also give details as submitted for the 2009/2010 District Directory. The What's On page has been revised to show dates for the various functions in the 2009/2010 District year. Policy Committee page of photos and contact details of senior officers updated for 2009/2010 officers. The Hall of Fame has been updated with winners announced at the Changeover Dinner. May 2009 There are 2 Directory Information Forms on the site. Club Officers, please enter your Club details for 2009/2010 here after your Club elections. Incoming District Officers, please enter your details here. April 2009 The Club Officer Training schedule for June - August has been published. January 2009 Revised Supplies price list released and internet banking option for Supplies purchases introduced. See District Supplies page January 2008 New District Supplies page introduced with new style price list. November 2007 Northern Division website reactivated. August 2007 Google Search Engine added to website. Details of Area Speech Contests moved from Division pages to a consolidated listing under What's On. See Area Speech Contests. July 2007 Structure of Areas and Clubs in each Division removed from Division websites and added to a centralised page showing all the Area/Club groupings for the District. February 2007 Club and District Officer section of website revised. Additional pages of resources have been added and the navigation and menus have been revised to aid in location of information. Information added to home page on ABC Radio National's Unforgettable Speeches campaign. January 2007 Public Relations resources added, being templates for newsletters and flyers. November 2006 District Speech Contest Judging Handbook published in association with Judging Seminar. September 2006 New format District 70 Bulletin Board plus new Discussion Forum launched on 1st September. April 2006 Club Delegate Proxy Form for District Council meetings added. October 2005 Division News page expanded with information and map showing structure of our Divisions. February 2005 Toastmasters Australia website launched in conjunction with District 73 to act as a portal for the 3 Australian District websites. January 2005 Information about District awards and nomination forms added. See Awards page. October 2004 The recently reviewed and revised District Finance Manual has been added for member reference. August 2004 Central Division Website is now active. Southern Division Website is now active. Northern Division Website is now active May 2004 The High Performance Leadership Program handout from Conference made available April 2004 Hawkesbury Division website activated March 2004 Online registration and payment of new members introduced by TI. See here for details of how to register new members online. Online payments of Dues Renewal Invoices introduced by TI. See here for details of how to handle Dues Renewals now. November, 2003 Menu introduced to top banner of all pages to improve usability of site and as an aid to quick navigation. October 2003 District Bulletin/Notice Board introduced so that members and officers can advertise their services and also services that they need. District History updated with additional information in the associated tables of achievement. September 2003 New Dues Renewal Invoice introduced by TI to replace the old Semi-annual reports. See here for details of how to handle the new form. August 2003 Western Division website activated. New Form 400 and procedures for processing new member applications introduced by TI and explained here. The Guidelines for Club Websites document has been rewritten and expanded, following many more enquiries since the first version was published in March.. December 2002 Active Server Page (ASP) technology introduced on to the site. Our District databases have been placed on the server and the "ASP" pages query these according to requests from viewers. This technique is used to produce results in the Find a Club pages, Officer contact details and reports such as those on the Performance page. The site now includes 10 pages using this database extraction technique to supply details about Clubs, Officers and performance in the District. August 2002 A spreadsheet version of the Area/Division Speech contest Budget sheet has been added to the Contest Resources page. December 2001 Handout from Storytelling session at Conference added. November 2001 Details of Ralph Smedley Memorial Fund added to Officer FAQ page following circular to Clubs. September 2001 Document added detailing ideas for the conduct of 21 special types of theme meetings. These ideas were developed in a workshop held during the Seminar for Presidents and VPEs this month. Details of new Leadership Excellence series modules added July 2001 Eastern Division site launched in Division News section. Monaro Division site launched in Division News section. June 2001 On-line ordering facility introduced for District 70 Supplies. The on-line Order Form, Supplies Price List and pictures of District trophies can all be accessed from the District Supplies page. February 2001 Revised version of District 70's longstanding Guide to Meeting Assignments added to Member Resources page. December 2000 Link added to the District Performance Page to enable Clubs to obtain a detailed report of their DCP goal status. November 2000 Answers to questions about Income Tax, GST and ABNs in relation to Toastmasters Clubs added to Club Officer FAQ page. Summary of Distinguished Club Plan added. Pictures of the range of District 70 trophies added. Detailed hand outs on the TI Education system, Advanced C & L manuals and various educational modules added together with further educational material on Member Resources page. July 2000 Website fully functional with all planned content complete. The implementation, construction and launch of the website was a joint project carried out by David Cassey and Gary Wilson. October 1999 Meeting of interested and web experienced Toastmasters called by PDG Ted Mackness and District Governor Frank Higgins to discuss development of a District website. David Cassey delegated to arrange a URL and hosting for the website. Gary Wilson delegated to prepare a site map of proposed content and structure.
