SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES / SPEAK OUTSIDE YOUR CLUB
An opportunity has arisen for members to speak outside their
toastmasters clubs, and to gain valuable speaking experience in front of a
public audience. No you don't need to be a professional speaker!!! This
opportunity is suitable for anyone who can hold the attention of their audience
with an interesting topic of your choosing!
Any member willing to give 20-40 minutes of their time in 2012,
to speak at an Aged Care facility in Marsfield should complete our Expression of
Interest Form and return it to our Speakers Bureau Officer, Donna Pace. Speech
times and days are flexible but must be between 10:30am or 2:00pm Monday to
Saturday, or at 5:45pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Your speech topic can
be as varied as you like. Previous presentations have included: family history,
travel and violin making. Topics that might be of interest to the residents
could include: gardening, something of a historical nature, vision impairment,
personal safety and any other interesting work history or skill you might choose

Stage Fright Blues?
Member of Gourmet Toastmasters Corporate presenter and trainer Lesley Stephenson
will teach you the secrets of Managing and Reducing Stage Fright symptoms. This
is a fun and interactive workshop for all speakers who want to learn the secrets
and strategies of controlling stagefright. This is a free seminar so please
register early. We need 6-8 volunteers to participate by giving a 3-4 minute

Titanic – A Night to Remember Prince of Storytellers Tom Ware presents
"Titanic – A Night to Remember" on Friday, 13th April 2012 at Blacktown Workers
